Job Summary:
The Senior Technical Assistant operates under the supervision of the Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) Supervisor. The Senior Technical Assistant is responsible for one or more of the following: designing/programming lighting for in-house, touring, and rental artists as required, lighting support and setups for outdoor events as needed, ordering supplies, and lighting equipment maintenance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May oversee Technical and Stage staff.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- ETC EOS, HOG, Expression console programming.
- ETC dimming rack technical knowledge.
- Light plot and focus skills.
- Setting stage plots, dmx cabling, and Edison/ powercon power feeds.
- Counterweight rigging and flyrail operation skills.
- Ability to operate tablet-based console apps.
- Personnel lift safe operation skills.
- Experience designing for dance, music, and theater performances.
- Safe scenic construction practices when using hand and power tools.
- Loading /unloading equipment, cases, gondolas, and hampers from trucks.
- General knowledge of theatrical stage lighting design and lighting console programming.
- Assist in training of Stage Assistants.
- Ability to work nights and weekends
