The City of Laramie Parks & Recreation Department seeks an individual for Customer Operations Supervisor at the Laramie Recreation Center. This position is responsible for ensuring a high-quality customer experience at the Laramie Recreation Center. This includes customer service operations at the front desk, cleanliness of the facility, and monitoring the overall activities of patrons to ensure safety and policy compliance. This position will oversee a staff of part-time individuals at the front desk, on the facility floor, and in light facility custodial tasks. This position will manage front desk cash handling, reservations, and memberships, and provide leadership to daily business services to include front-line customer service, and complaint resolution. Following training as needed, this position will serve as an internal System Administrator for the point of sales operations on our recreation (RecTrac) software.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees daily revenue reconciliation of front-line staff and maintains accurate records of all cash handling operations at the Recreation Center front desk including concessions, reservations, and memberships.
- Works closely with the centralized Finance office to ensure that transactions are recorded appropriately.
- Researches and analyzes the nature, effect, and results of revenues, expenses, trends, and changes to department operations.
- Hires, schedules, monitors, and provides corrective actions for all part-time staff under supervision to ensure quality customer service and facility management.
- Summarizes financial and economic data reports for review by the department director, managers, stakeholders, and others as needed.
- Collects and organizes data from various sources, which may include department heads, managers, supervisors, coordinators, and subject matter experts.
- Creates, develops, provides, or coordinates system training, materials, and other educational tools to all levels of department staff in the areas of customer service, facility cleanliness, and complaint resolution.
- Work collaboratively with the centralized Finance Office to develop and recommend business policies and procedures that reflect City-wide standards and appropriate recording of financial transactions and events.
QUALIFICATIONS (A combination of the following experience and training, or the equivalent of, would be qualifying):
- Techniques of staff management and training.
- Basic custodial techniques for managing day-to-day facility cleanliness with part-time staff.
- Basic understanding of software system administration and basic accounting and bookkeeping.
- Experience with RecTrac or similar recreation management software preferred.
- At least five to seven years of related experience is required.
