As part of the minimum requirements for all positions with the City of Laredo, a thorough background check and certified school transcripts will be required from all applicants who are offered employment.

- Coordinates, assigns, monitors, and participates in building and cemetery ground maintenance activities; instructs and trains employees the proper methods and procedures; reviews work in progress and upon completion checks for compliance with standards.
- Receives work orders from the supervisor; checks and picks-up equipment; transports crews and equipment to designated areas and follows through with work orders.
- Picks-up trash from different areas and arranges for transportation to the City landfill.
- Cuts grass when needed.
- Ensures all equipment checked out of the warehouse is returned at the end of the day.
- Picks-up equipment needed for special projects from the compound.
- Checks sites for vandalism and broken equipment.
- Prepares and maintains accurate reports regarding status of repairs and maintenance performed by the crew.
- Assists in maintaining good communication between staff, visitors, and other business contacts.
- Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- At least two (2) years of City of Laredo full-time employment experience.
- At least three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience performing grounds and facility maintenance work.
