What are the responsibilities and job description for the EVENTS/PROGRAM ASSISTANT position at City of Lawrence?
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Assist with planning, coordinating, and conducting special event programs for the City of Lawrence Parks, Recreation and Culture Department. This includes assisting in the development, coordination, and implementation of the department’s special events and assisting with events in the city’s right-of-way. Assisting with the set up/tear down of the Lawrence City Band eight-week, summer concert series held on Wednesday evenings (May 28-July 16). Assisting in the planning and execution (set up and tear down) of Summerfest, the City’s Fourth of July celebration, held on July 3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
