Salary Range: $8,967 – $11,023 per month

Position Summary:
The City of Leavenworth is seeking a qualified individual with strong technical skills and extensive experience in managing complex infrastructure projects, including design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction who will oversee and manage engineering operations.
This position handles grant applications and funding management, public works contracts, and capital and maintenance projects for city utilities, streets, facilities, and functions. Key responsibilities include managing and reviewing private development project applications, processing permits and plans, and delivering exceptional customer service.
About the Position:
Under direction from the Public Works Director, this position will oversee and manage daily engineering operations. This position involves handling grant applications and funding management, public works contracts, and capital and maintenance projects for city utilities, streets, facilities, and functions.
The City Engineer will act as the Director in their absence and provide essential engineering services to stakeholders. The City Engineer will also work on various public works capital improvement projects, such as transportation, water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage.
