Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and track the City's fixed assets, including acquisitions, transfers, depreciation, and reporting.
- Lead the preparation of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
- Assist in developing the City's annual budget.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with governmental accounting laws.
- Oversee warehouse inventory and help determine surplus assets.
- Work closely with city departments to ensure financial efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to drive strategic decision-making.
What We're Looking For :
Requirements :
For Accounting Technician III :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 2 years of experience (Municipal experience preferred), OR Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance 4 years of experience (Municipal experience preferred)
For Accounting Technician IV :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Certified Public Financial Officer (CPFO) certification, OR Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
