Assistant Manager Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager will assist the Aquatics Supervisor with daily operational responsibilities. The Assistant Manager will manage full daily operations when the Aquatics Supervisor is not on site.
Requirements:

Minimum of 18 years of age, required.

Current Lifeguard Certificate required.

Water Safety Instructor Certificate.

At least 1 year experience in the field.
Duties include:

Demonstrate, instruct, and evaluate swimming skills and rescue methods.

Act as the water park manager when the supervisor is not at the facility.

Supervise entire water park staff

Provide and maintain positive public relations.

Enter into the rotation at least 2 times per shift for different lifeguards

Assign and oversee all cleaning duties and assist where needed.

Check the entire facility daily for problems and report to the Aquatics Supervisor ASAP.

Participate in and lead all In-Services and Staff Meetings.

Participate in verifying time sheets every evening.

Maintain security within the facility.

Assist with staff screenings, orientations, mentoring, and evaluations.

Communicate with the Aquatics Supervisor concerning staff behavior.
-
Ability to make sound safety decisions while on duty.

Monitor chemical and temperature levels.
-
Backwash as needed.
-
All other duties assigned by the Aquatics Supervisor.
