Head Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities
It must be emphasized the MAIN DUTY of a lifeguard is that of SAVING LIVES! The aquatic park is potentially the most dangerous facility in any municipality. Lifeguards are utilized to make the water park as safe as possible. PREVENTATIVE LIFEGUARDING techniques should always be employed to avoid trouble.
Requirements:

Must be at least 17 years of age

Must possess a current LG and WSI Certification encouraged
Duties include:

Responsible for supervising poolside lifeguards, and guest service members

Resolve conflicts between lifeguards, guest service and patrons

Perform first aid when needed

Replace lifeguard when a save is made
-
Assist with park maintenance and filter operation
-
Test water chemicals and log water temperature
-
Maintain water chemistry and document accurately
-
Help the supervisor &/or assistant manager when needed

Complete incident reports once an incident occurs. Record ALL INCIDENTS correctly and accurately

Answer and carry out what is asked by the supervisor and managers
Perform all tasks listed under lifeguard duties
