As a Seasonal Wellness Coach, you will directly contribute to the wellness and safety of our members. By ensuring the proper use of fitness equipment and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, you’ll provide a safe and welcoming environment where our residents can focus on their health and fitness goals.
Schedule:8am - 12pm
Mondays and Fridays
Additional hours as needed
Essential Functions
Department Operations:
- Proactively support department functions ensuring community’s needs are being met.
- Direct, organize and supervise all aspects of the fitness center.
- Monitor the use of equipment in the Wellness Center. Ensure general safety of patrons, enforce all codes of conduct, rules and policies including but not limited to, age restrictions, language, and proper use of the facility.
- Assist in building cleanliness.
- Assist in driving business impact to positively affect community growth, change, and citizen satisfaction with their municipal team and services.
- Promote programs within the fitness center on a regular basis through handouts/flyers/word of mouth, giving special attention to orientations and member experience.
Citizen/Customer Relations:
- Proactively engage and interact with citizens to ensure their customer experience leaves a positive impact.
- Ensure a positive attitude at all times & complete delivery of service to our members.
- Share opinions and ideas regularly and actively participate in department functions and team meetings.
- Follow Community Center policies and guidelines pertaining to fitness center rules and membership retention.
- Performs other duties as needed to ensure quality municipal services for our citizens.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Qualified techniques, formats and/or instructions for performing essential functions of position.
- Basic operations, services, and activities of assigned department.
- Basic principles of office and/or departmental procedures and equipment.
- Professional written and verbal communication standards. Pertinent laws that affect assigned division and department.
- Understand the organization and operation of the City.
- Provide established return on investment through outcomes of work performed.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from customers/citizens in a professional, positive, friendly and helpful manner.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other City employees.
- Prepare and present ideas that support overall goals of the department and City.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of essential duties including operating and maintaining assigned equipment.
- Maintain mental capacity which permits satisfactory performance of essential functions including decision-making, communication, teamwork and positive customer/citizen interactions and experiences.
- Knowledge and background in safety & development to properly instruct all pass holders on all machines & free weights.
License or Certificate:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR Certification
