This is a Full-time position 40hrs per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with occasional weekend and/or evening hours. Hours and work schedule to be determined by supervisor.

We are looking for a professional staff to provide interpretation and translation services at the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with clients in a variety of public health services such as food handler classes, dental and WIC clinics, our Vaccine, Refugee and STI Clinics and home visiting services for young families.The successful candidate will be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English and Pashto. The successful candidate will have one to two years of interpretation and translation experience in a clinical setting. The ability to provide welcoming and respectful services to clients, while working collaboratively with public health staff is critical. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent with two years of experience in interpreting and translating; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.

SPECIAL NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in translating and speaking Pashto.
Possession of a valid driver’s license when operating a vehicle may be necessary to the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.
Salary : $16 - $22
