Position is in the Customer Relations area of the Community Health Services Division which includes patient registration, check out, billing for medical services, and medical records management for Public Health Clinic at the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.
Responsibilities include the ability to answer patient questions and requests for services in person and on the telephone in a busy medical clinical environment in a friendly and professional manner; electronic medical records system use; data entry; word processing; filing/scanning of patient records; protection of confidential information; and other clerical duties as assigned.
Work requires the operation of a personal computer, fax, scanner, copier and debit card machine. Candidate should be a self-motivated individual who functions well as a team member as well as independently in a fast paced office environment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent and six months of experience in an office setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills.
