What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian - full-time position at City of Little Rock?
This is a Safety-Sensitive Job for Purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.
This position is considered Essential Personnel under the LRCVB Inclement weather policy.
- Cleans and maintains various areas within an assigned LRCVB facility to include but not limited to office areas, rest rooms, meeting rooms, public spaces, exhibit halls, ballrooms, River Market to include the Food Court area, Ottenheimer building, and the Robinson Center.
- Sweeps and mops floors, vacuums carpeted areas; dusts baseboards; cleans windows; cleans and sanitizes tables and chairs including in the Food Court area and performs other light custodial and related duties
- Buffs, strips and waxes hard surface, as required.
- Maintains appropriate cleanliness of public and meeting spaces before, during and after events in compliance with applicable guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Completes all assigned duties from applicable checklists as required.
- Cleans and maintains all windows, doors and blinds.
- Empties and cleans waste receptacles, recycle bins and trashcans; replaces plastic liners.
- Maintains an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; notifies supervisor of supplies needed.
- Interacts in a positive and responsive manner with clients, attendees of events, seminar speakers, and the general public.
These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through one (1) year of custodial experience in office buildings, meeting facilities, etc., or related area. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available to work evenings, holidays and weekends as required.
