What are the responsibilities and job description for the Museum Program Assistant position at City of Little Rock?
This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
JOB OBJECTIVE: To assist in museum program development activities at the MacArthur Museum; schedules and conducts guided tours; trains volunteers to present programs and tours.
For a complete list of essential job functions, please click here.These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in History, Education or a related area, one (1) year of work experience in a museum setting or one (1) year of demonstrated research experience and one (1) year of leadership and supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
- Must possess Standard First Aid and Community CPR certifications, or other certifications which incorporate Standard First Aid and Infant, Child and Adult CPR, within six (6) months of employment, and maintain certifications for the duration of employment in this position.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
