Summary Objective
The purpose of this position is to plan and coordinate operations and activities of parking garage facilities operated by contract vendors.
This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Responds to complaints and inquiries from the public, and resolves problems and concerns.
- Plans and schedules parking garage facility activities and operations.
- Analyzes parking garage vendor income and expense reports, and ensures compliance with contract specifications.
- Revises and develops operational and financial internal controls and reporting requirements.
- Verifies and approves towing of vehicles, and monitors enforcement and control operations.
- Schedules structural, electrical, mechanical, safety and preventive maintenance inspections.
- Reviews inspection reports, initiates operational and financial audits, and submits requests for garage structural or building maintenance and equipment repair.
- Monitors radio communication system operations for compliance with FCC rules and regulations.
- Evaluates security and safety operations, and recommends modifications and improvements.
- Develops parking programs, strategies, pricing, and operational procedures.
- Maintains fixed asset inventory, and investigates and reconciles differences.
- Prepares and submits bid proposals and specifications, and recommends the procurement of equipment and contract services.
- Contacts vendors or contractors to discuss parking services or products.
- Maintains a library of technical reference materials, operating manuals, warranties, floor plans, documents and materials.
- Performs related work as assigned.
