Job Description
The City of Lynn Haven is preparing for a fun-filled summer season and is looking for help! We are seeking temporary/seasonal Recreation Assistants who will assist Recreation Coordinators prepare for summer sporting and recreational events. The City hosts various recreational/sports camps, league play, and other activities to provide a wonderful summer experience for our citizens and guests. We will also have our Splash Pad open for all to enjoy. This position is perfect for students at least 16 years of age who are looking for a part-time summer job and adults who love working with and helping people have fun while promoting health and wellness through recreational activities.
- Assist full-time recreation staff to setting up and taking down equipment and supplies for recreational activities.
- Provide excellent customer service to participants and guests.
- Enforce safety guidelines and rules during recreational activities.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of recreational facilities.
- Support the Recreation Coordinator and other staff members as needed.
- Entry-level experience in a recreational setting is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with adults and children.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of recreational activities and programs.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and split-shifts.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
This is a temporary/seasonal position which is expected to work at least 20 hours per week.
