We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Public Service Officer to join our team at the Marinette Police department. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and well-being of animals and the community be enforcing animal-related laws, educating the public, and responding to animal-related emergencies. You will be responsible for enforcing local animal control laws, investigating animal complaints, rescuing animals in distress, and ensuring the safe return of lost pets. You will work closely with animal shelters, veterinarians, and the public to promote responsible pet ownership and protect the safety of both animals and residents. This position involves a combination of law enforcement duties, conflict management, and public service responsibilities.

Qualifications: Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid State of Wisconsin Driver's License. Previous experience in animal control, animal shelter work, law enforcement, or public safety is a plus. Obtain TIME certification and Humane Officer certification within six months of hire. Selected candidates will need to participate in a ride-along prior to any job offer.
Residency: Applicant shall, within six months of hire, establish residency within the State of Wisconsin.
