Description :
The Maryland Heights Parks and Recreation Department has an opening for seasonal employment for Camp Counselors. The Camp Counselor will have day-to-day responsibility to provide a safe and fun Summer Camp experience for our campers.
Camp Counselors will work an average of 30 to 40 hours per week during the day Monday-Friday. The starting pay rate for this position is $15.25 per hour. Must be available to work the length of the camp season (June through mid-August) and preseason training.
Essential Duties
Plans, organizes, and implements recreational activities, camp games, and crafts for the outdoor youth summer camp in a positive, energetic, and cooperative manner. Assist and demonstrate a variety of athletic, educational and artistic skills in youth programs. Supervise participants to ensure facility policies and procedures are adhered to. Dress according to dress code in appropriate attire. Pick up trash and debris. Other duties as assigned.
