What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks-Mechanic position at City of McAllen, TX?
Under general supervision, the Mechanic conducts skilled mechanic work including maintenance and repair of gas and diesel engines, including both small and heavy equipment. Employee diagnoses, adjusts, re-aligns and/or repairs trucks, trailers, float vehicles, light towers, generators, gators, mowers, and a wide variety of power tools and park maintenance equipment with little to no assistance. Employee also assists with special events support activities for all city sponsored or supported events such as the Holiday Parade, Marathon, 4th of July, Palmfest, and others.
