Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, assists in parking lot activities.
REQUIRED CONTACTS: Employee communicates with other employees and other departments within the organization. Communicates with tenants, owners, managers and supervisors relating to accounts receivable. Contacts vendors in relation to accounts payable and banking personnel concerning deposit and change request questions. Interacts with the public concerning airport parking, volunteer staffing schedules.Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
Knowledge of accounting practices including accounts receivable and accounts payable. Ability to read and understand manuals and reports in order to record work activities, keep records or work with computers. Skill in the operation and maintenance of a number of office machines and equipment such as computers, copiers and facsimile machines. Skill in 10-key, typing, and various word processing, data base, and spreadsheet applications.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification
High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of experience in an accounting position required. Computer and customer service/public relations experience required. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.
- Prepares daily cash bank deposit.
- Deposit checks weekly via online banking.
- Reconciles parking lot attendant daily reports and credit card purchases for employees.
- Enter payroll for airport employees.
- Oversees parking lot inventory software system.
- Posts customer payments to Accounts Receivable system.
- Collects all past due Accounts Receivable and miscellaneous billing.
- Interacts with the Police Department concerning vehicles parked in the parking lots
- Notifies owners of extended stay/abandoned vehicles parked in the parking lots
- Performs related duties as required.
