Accounting Clerk
Lone Star Corporation is searching for a full time Accounting Clerk. Looking for a skilled and well-rounded accounting Clerk to ensure quality work. Must be confident in prioritizing tasks and working with little supervision, self-motivated and trustworthy. Role will report to our Corporate Controller.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
Accurately manage high-volume invoice processing, maintain organized records and reconciling discrepancies
promptly.
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Collect on outstanding Accounts Receivable balances
- Assist the Accounts Receivable Department with duties
- Serve as an Accounts Payable backup
- Maintain all Customer Files including folder creation
- Assist with Audits
- Monthly Reporting duties assigned by the controller
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an accounts receivable clerk or accounts payable clerk
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- Associates degree preferred
