What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Landscape Maintenance Worker position at City of Monona?
Under the direction of the Public Works Director, the Landscape Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance of planting beds and roadway boulevards throughout the City. This is a limited-term position, from mid-May through August. This position will require 30-40 hours per week; typical hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.Mowing, trimming, pulling weeds, mulching, and maintaining planting areas.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
- Must have a general knowledge of caring for plants and shrubs.
- Must have experience operating mowers and trimmers.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
