What are the responsibilities and job description for the Firefighter – volunteer/paid-on-call position at City of Monroe?
The City of Monroe Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Paid-On-Call Firefighter/Emergency Medical Responder.
This is NOT a full-time/Career position. The department responds to an average of 300 Fire, Rescue, and EMS related incidents annually.

Individuals interested are encouraged to apply immediately.This position requires individuals to respond from their home and/or place of work 24/7 as available. This position requires the participation in training two Tuesday evenings 6:30pm-9:30pm and maintenance two Thursday evenings 6:00pm-8:00pm per month.
Experience is not required.
CPR Certification within 12 months of the start date of employment. Certification must be maintained as a condition of employment.
Wisconsin Firefighter 1 Certification within 24 months of the start date of employment.
Wisconsin Emergency Medical Responder Certification within 24 months of the start date of employment. Certification must be maintained as a condition of employment. The department pays for required training, materials, and equipment.
Individuals applying for this position should be prepared to commit an average of 12-15 hours per month. The current starting pay rate for this position is $14.63 per hour. A detailed job description is available by request.Minimum Requirements:
