The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) is the largest Fire Department in the United States and universally is recognized as the worlds busiest and most highly skilled emergency response agency. The Departments main goal is to provide fire protection emergency medical care and other critical public safety services to residents and visitors in the five boroughs. The Fire Department City of New York (FDNY) seeks two fulltime Clerical Associates in the Bureau of Health Services. Reporting directly to the Nursing Supervisor the successful candidate will : support the nursing staff and assist with front desk duties. The candidate will play a key role in providing administrative support ensuring smooth office operations and facilitating communication with members candidates and staff. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting visitors upon arrival answering and transferring phone calls and handling inquiries from members and staff. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing member and candidate information in the departments Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system creating and maintaining documents managing digital and physical records and ensuring confidentiality in compliance with privacy regulations. The candidate will collaborate closely with the nursing team and office personnel to support daily operations assist with scheduling and coordinate meetings and departmental activities. Additional duties include managing departmental calendars planning events monitoring office inventory and ordering supplies as needed. The role also involves operating office equipment such as photocopiers scanners fax machines and computers as well as managing encrypted digital document filing and email correspondence. Strong computer skills are essential including proficiency in word processing spreadsheets and EMR systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment. Experience in healthcare or a related field is preferred but not required. The candidate must be organized detailoriented and able to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism. Flexibility and a teamoriented approach are also critical as the role may involve assisting with other duties as needed.

Qualification Requirements
A fouryear high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a States department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
