The New York City Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) works every day to implement the citys Human Rights Law through enforcement education and outreach. The Commission seeks to address historic and contemporary inequities to cultivate a city where everyone can live work and thrive free from discrimination.
Through training education and policy initiatives the Commission aims to root out discrimination. The Commission proactively identifies patterns of discrimination through testing employers housing providers and providers of public accommodation. The Commission also uses investigations litigation and other enforcement tools to address allegations of discrimination.
The Commission is seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Initiatives Manager to lead the development implementation and evaluation of key initiatives that align with the Commissions mission of fostering a city where all can live work and thrive free from discrimination. Reporting to the Chief of Staff this role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and experience leading highimpact projects to enhance effectiveness. This role is essential to implementing the Commissioners vision advancing equity and building meaningful partnerships.
Job Duties
Implement the Commissioners vision by advancing agency priorities through strategic planning and execution.
Formalize and optimize the agencys strategicplanning processes and multiyear initiatives.
Develop innovative solutions to drive organizational impact ensuring alignment with CCHRs mission and goals.
Oversee complex projects including developing timelines conducting research and ensuring progress on initiatives.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to evaluate plan and implement impactful strategic initiatives.
Manage daytoday supervision of fellowship programs including Public Artists in Residence (PAIR) and Urban Fellows.
Cultivate relationships with communitybased organizations other government agencies and advocacy groups.
Design and evaluate targeted strategies for engaging with external partners and communities.
Lead the implementation of CCHRs multiyear plans including the agencys equity plan and accessibility plan and all associated programs such as the AntiBlack Racism Working Group.
Assist in gathering analyzing and synthesizing data relevant to the agencys strategic objectives contributing to enhanced datadriven decisionmaking and performance monitoring.
Identify and secure opportunities for external funding to bolster CCHRs work.
Prepare reports presentations and other materials to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications :
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of satisfactory appropriate fulltime professional experience gained in such fields as intergroup relations community relations labor or industrial relations; law social service education housing research investigation personnel administration or public relations; or
A satisfactory equivalent.
