This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill one (1) vacancy for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Public Works department. The eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification, for up to one hundred eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the eligibility list.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

• Pay Considerations - The salary range for the position is $92,434.42 - $138,655.27. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining agreement.
• Work Schedule - This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day day (36 hour work week), Monday through Thursday, 7 : 00am to 5 : 00pm.

THE ROLE

Under limited direction, manages, and supervises team members for civil engineering design and / or construction projects and programs; performs professional and technical engineering duties; performs senior-level engineering planning, design, and / or construction oversight for various building construction, remodeling, and major repairs, as well as for flood control, water and wastewater utilities, and other public facilities.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate for this position has significant experience working with Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) as outlined in the Engineering and Construction Management Engineer Section and delivering projects funded by RTCSNV, CCRFCD, SNPLMA, NDOT or similar local and Federal partners. This experience should include either leading or assisting in the development of scope and fees, plans, specifications, and bid packages. Familiarity with bidding and awarding public contracts is a bonus. Further, knowledge and skill in managing projects related to facility repairs and renovations is desirable.
