What are the responsibilities and job description for the Code Enforcement Specialist position at City of North Salt Lake?
The City of North Salt Lake Community Development Department is seeking a dedicated and customer service oriented individual for the position of Code Enforcement Specialist . Individuals in this position are responsible for obtaining compliance to various City ordinances including, but not limited to, zoning, signage, property maintenance and any other related land development ordinance. The Code Enforcement Specialist receives and investigates complaints from the public and staff regarding violations of City codes, ordinances, standards and permits, and other related projects as assigned. Work is to be carried out with a reasonable degree of independent action and judgment and in required time frames. The incumbent in this position will interact with the public often, informing the general public of city regulations and procedures and assisting in the preparation of legal actions needed to obtain compliance to City codes.
Minimum qualifications :
- This position requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid Utah Driver's License;
- One (1) years of code enforcement experience, performing above or related duties in an office setting.
Level and starting salary will depend upon the successful candidate's education, knowledge, training, and experience.
