What are the responsibilities and job description for the Budget Analyst position at City of Northfield, MN?
The City of Northfield is recruiting for a full time Budget Analyst. The purpose of this position is to prepare, support, analyze and enhance the annual budget process, financial reporting, performance measurement, long range planning, ERP software management and cross training on core accounting functions.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, public administration or a related field;
- Five years of related budget or finance experience or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish, including reading, speaking, listening, and writing.
- MBA preferred.
- Knowledge of BS&A ERP software a plus.
2025 STARTING ANNUAL SALARY RANGE:
$80,305 - $104,873. Excellent benefit package.
HOURS OF WORK:
40 hours per week. City Hall work hours are scheduled for business purposes/project coverage, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Tuesday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Friday 7:30 a.m. – 12;00 p.m. Early morning, late day and evening meetings as assigned. Timely reporting to work with a minimum number of absences. This position is eligible for hybrid telecommuting work.
