What would you do as a Pool Supervisor

As a Full-Time Pool Supervisor with the City of O'Fallon, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all pool-goers. This dynamic position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including lifeguarding, staff management, and maintaining pool facilities. You will be the driving force behind keeping the swimming pools operational and safe during all scheduled shifts.

Regularly testing and adjusting pool chemicals, conducting staff training, and evaluating performance are all part of your day-to-day duties. Furthermore, you will lead conflict resolution, enforce safety policies, and prepare necessary documentation, including incident reports and shift logs. Are you the Pool Supervisor we're looking for?

To thrive as a Full-Time Pool Supervisor with the City of O'Fallon, you will need a robust skill set and relevant knowledge. A solid understanding of supervisory principles and practices is essential, along with expertise in pool operation guidelines and chemical management. Proficiency in first aid, CPR, and water rescue techniques is crucial for ensuring the safety of all patrons.

Your decision-making and problem-solving skills will play a foundational role in managing conflicts and emergencies effectively. Strong oral and written communication abilities are necessary to communicate clearly with staff and the public. Additionally, you must be able to acquire and maintain various certifications pertinent to the position.

A high school level of literacy and mathematics is required, along with one to three years of experience to fully understand subordinate roles. Finally, a valid driver's license issued by the State of Missouri is necessary for operational responsibilities.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
• Knowledge of pool operation guidelines and principles.
• Knowledge of pool chemicals.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR.
• Knowledge of water rescue techniques.
• Skill in decision making and problem solving.
• Skill in dealing with the public.

• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems usually associated with one to three years experience or service.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Missouri for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
