The City of O'Fallon is looking for an energetic and experienced team member for the position of Theater Worker - Director. Are you a director that is Holly, Jolly, Merry and Bright? O'Fallon Theater Works is looking for a director for their 2025 Holiday Show. This role is open to any ideas of a play or musical you'd like to perform. Our Theater Workers earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $14.40 hourly. This position will run for the duration of the seasonal production run, with performance dates set for December 5th - 6th and 12th - 14th..
As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in providing instruction in community theater. The ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
As the Director of the holiday production, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Crafting or procuring theater props and costumes
- Designing, building and dressing sets
- Overseeing all aspects of theater production, including working with actors and the tech crew
- Assisting in technical aspects of the play, including sound and lights
We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable in all aspects of theater, who has excellent public relations skills. This person should be comfortable leading a group and teaching individuals.
