Join the City of Oshkosh team as a SCADA Technician, where your expertise will drive the efficient operation and technological advancement of our Water Filtration and Wastewater Treatment Plants. This position performs advanced and professional technical work on the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, ensuring seamless communication and functionality across various remote facilities. Collaboration with IT and plant personnel is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain SCADA systems.
- Conduct assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Implement system updates and patches as needed.
- Troubleshoot SCADA network issues promptly.
- Collaborate with IT and operational departments on SCADA projects.
- Provide technical assistance and training to SCADA users.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for SCADA systems.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in SCADA technology.
What You’ll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field with SCADA certifications preferred. Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, and two (2) years of experience in PLC, HMI, Automation Control Systems or SCADA systems.
- Licensure: Valid Driver's License.
