PARKS SSNL LABORS - Dates: 4/21 -10/31 Schedule: Mon - Frifrom 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (8 hrs per shift)
This position involves skilled and manual labor in performing and assisting in the work on the maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds, working either independently or collectively depending on the work or on supervisor's instructions. The primary location of the work will be at the City operated cemeteries, with other duties as assigned on other City properties.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Motorized vehicles for grounds maintenance purposes, dump truck, power and hand tools, and equipment for vehicle and mechanical system work; mechanic tools including jacks, hydraulic lifts, air tools, and other tools required for repairs and routine maintenance of motorized vehicles; computer, calculator and phone.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Work with crews on the maintenance of cemetery and park grounds, excavation and backfilling of burial spaces; perform preventative maintenance of landscape related equipment, operate equipment such as trucks and mowers. 80%
- Load and unload materials and equipment; assist with maintenance to park and cemetery machinery and equipment including but not limited to: tractors, trucks, mowers, trailers, line trimmers, blowers, snowplows, and other small engine tools. 10%
- Trim trees and other foliage; participate in landscaping activities. 10%
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver license.
