What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician position at CITY OF OTTUMWA?
The City of Ottumwa is expanding the IT department. We are looking for an IT Technician to assist the IT Manager with for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading hardware, software, and network systems to ensure maximum performance while minimizing downtime for the organization. The IT Technician will have to provide technical assistance to users and help resolve IT-related issues. This position may be required to work evenings, weekends or holidays as required by events within the City.
Education / Training / Experience Required
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
- Prior experience working as an IT Technician or a similar role
- Possess and maintain valid driver’s license
