What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver (PT) position at City of Owensboro?
Estimated to work an average of approximately 20 hrs. per week.
Transit operations are based on a Monday through Friday and 1/2 day Saturday schedule; closed Sundays.
- Responsible for driving transit vehicles on an assigned route following all applicable regulations and laws;
- Drives charters within Daviess County when assigned;
- Provides courteous and timely service to transit and trolley customers;
- Responsible for maintaining clean vehicles and bus shelters.
1) High School Diploma or GED; or minimum 3 months work-related experience as a bus driver or similar position; or equivalent amount of education and experience;
2) Valid Driver's License; Valid CDL, Class B or higher, with P (Passenger) endorsement required after hire;
3) Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs., assist disabled passengers, and perform all other demands of the job satisfactorily;
4) Minimum age 18
