What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Coordinator II position at City of Palm Coast?
Under general direction, the purpose of the job is to direct and administer the strategies, programs, and activities of purchasing and distribution for the city to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Employees in this job classification function in an administrative capacity to ensure the development and maintenance of all vendor relationships for the continuous supply of quality products. Work includes reviewing potential vendors and procurement of new products. Proactively researches initiatives to reduce costs, increase product and service quality, and ensure timely delivery performance. Supports management with technical compliance of various departmental project contracts. Assisting in the development, evaluation, award, and administration of all contracts and in the collection of data necessary for the preparation and modification of contracts. Performs related work as directed.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field required; supplemented by three (3) years progressively responsible experience in the administrative functions of purchasing. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
