The Pelham Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance work by completing preventive maintenance; cleaning and maintaining indoor and outdoor areas and ground covering; and cleaning shop area. The ideal candidate has a strong background in general maintenance, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The list is not intended to be all-inclusive nor exclusive but is intended to provide examples of typical duties performed.Assists with maintaining parks, fields, and facilities. Assists with maintaining playgrounds, splash pad, and other play structures as assigned.Prepares for assigned maintenance work by reviewing requests; gathering tools, supplies, and materials.Applies fertilizer, herbicides and insecticides to grounds with some supervision. Assists with maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance; making re-pairs; procuring parts and supplies.Assists with maintaining appearance by cleaning and preparing indoor and outdoor areas and ground covering.Assists with maintaining and repairs driveways, walks, hedges, swings, benches along with other park equipment.
