EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Maintain agency compliance with National and State Law Enforcement accreditation agencies (VLEPSC). Formulate, update, revise and distribute agency written directives utilizing advanced technical writing and organizational skills. Conduct periodic audits of agency functions utilizing basic accounting skills/principles Must have the ability to communicate in a professional manner with internal and external staff members of all levels and rank and the community. Directs and coordinates the operation of the Accreditation/Compliance Unit within the Sheriff’s Office. Analyzes situations and make sound recommendations both orally and in writing. Develops policies, procedures, operations, and special projects. Interprets organizational rules, regulations and policies; communicates departmental directives to personnel. Maintain Standards files for compliance with Accreditation agencies. Maintain Master and archive files for facility procedures. Facilitate and coordinate the accreditation process for VLEPSC inspections.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
All applicants will undergo a criminal background check and a driving record inquiry. Selected applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screening test, polygraph, as well as a medical examination.Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia
