Applicants’ duties will include but are not limited to :
- Serving as the general assistant to the Chief of Police
- Providing overall supervision, leadership, and direction to the patrol and investigations divisions
- Planning, allocating, and monitoring time, people, equipment, and other resources to maintain an efficient organization and completion of work
- The ability to effectively command operations and / or emergencies
- Coordinate with external departments as needed
- Work with City leadership on long-range goals, objectives, and organizational structure
- Effectively communicate with City of Pevely staff, elected officials, residents, and members of the public members.
- Enforcing state, federal, and local laws

Experience and Education :
Requirements include completion of Missouri P.O.S.T. Class A Certified Law Enforcement Academy, eligible for employment Police Officer certification from the state of Missouri, valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record, no criminal record, and must be 21 years of age.
