What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at City of Pflugerville?
- Operate and maintain both heavy and light machinery in a safe and effective manner. Equipment may include but is not limited to: vehicles, chippers, loaders, backhoes, hot mix paver, roller, crack sealer, concrete saw, and screens.
- Maintain City tools and equipment in safe and effective operating condition; make minor repairs and adjustments as necessary; report unsafe or inoperable equipment to department management.
- Maintain City vehicles; clean inside and outside; perform maintenance checks before and after use; ensure proper storage of vehicles and vehicle keys.
- May be assigned temporarily to other departments to provide related support.
- May be requested to respond after hours
- Other duties as assigned.
Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Relatable Work Experience: None required.
Training, Licenses, and Certifications: Ability to obtain a Class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL) within 6 months of hire date (depending on Assignment).

Salary : $40,758 - $50,948
