The Information Technology Services Department is seeking a motivated and experienced End-Point Systems Technician - Tanium (MS SCCM equivalent) to join our dynamic Information Technology Endpoint Systems Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of our Tanium endpoint management platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the security, stability, and performance of our endpoint environment through effective provisioning, deployment, and management of Tanium solutions.
Responsibilities Include
Tanium Platform Administration (or MS SCCM/MECM equivalent):
Pay Range: $82,451.20 to 110,510.40/annually.
Hiring Range: $82,451.20 to $100,235.20/annually.

The Information Technology Services Department is seeking a motivated and experienced End-Point Systems Technician - Tanium (MS SCCM equivalent) to join our dynamic Information Technology Endpoint Systems Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of our Tanium endpoint management platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the security, stability, and performance of our endpoint environment through effective provisioning, deployment, and management of Tanium solutions.
Responsibilities Include
Tanium Platform Administration (or MS SCCM/MECM equivalent):
- Administer and maintain the Tanium platform, including endpoint infrastructure, modules, and configurations.
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Implement and maintain security best practices within the Tanium environment.
- Develop and implement Tanium sensor and package deployment strategies for software, patches, and configurations.
- Automate endpoint provisioning and deployment processes using Tanium Deploy and other relevant tools.
- Manage and troubleshoot software deployments, ensuring successful and efficient rollouts.
- Create and maintain deployment documentation.
- Utilize Tanium Patch to manage and deploy security patches and software updates across the endpoint environment.
- Develop and maintain patch deployment schedules and policies.
- Monitor patch compliance and generate reports.
- Utilize Tanium Asset to maintain accurate endpoint inventory and generate reports.
- Develop and maintain Tanium reports and dashboards to provide insights into endpoint health and compliance.
- Analyze data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Tanium-related issues, troubleshooting complex problems and providing timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve endpoint-related incidents.
- Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions.
- Strong understanding of endpoint provisioning, deployment, and patch management processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of common operating systems, such as Windows and Linux.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CIS).
Pay Range: $82,451.20 to 110,510.40/annually.

Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of experience in systems applications analysis, programming or telecommunications functions utilizing a variety of PC, server, switching, routing, and multiplexing hardware and software.
- 15 hours of appropriate information technology course work including training or experience with one or more work station computers and one or more programming languages and one or more operating systems.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
- Three years of experience managing Endpoints/Workstations.
- Three years of experience using Endpoint Management.
- Two years of experience working with OS Bundle/Provision/Imaging.
- Two years of experience using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Two years of experience with automation and scripting.
- Two years of experience with standard, SOP, and Change Control Process.
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience with Tanium platform administration, including module configuration and management.
- Experience with software deployment tools.
- Equivalent experience in Microsoft SCCM/MECM may be considered.
- Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA), Tanium Certified Operator, or other relevant certifications.
