Job Summary:
The City of Pierz is seeking a full-time Clubhouse Director to oversee daily operations of the Clubhouse and Campground, including managing staff, providing excellent customer service, and coordinating maintenance and vendor projects. This position supervises the Assistant Clubhouse Manager and seasonal staff, ensures the operation of the Clubhouse, and handles all aspects of food, beverage, and facility management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise clubhouse staff, including hiring, training, and managing performance.
- Ensure smooth operations, including maintenance, inventory management, and customer service.
- Oversee the management of food, beverage, merchandise sales, and campground reservations.
- Handle cash register transactions, reconcile daily receipts, and deposit funds weekly.
- Resolve customer concerns, complaints, and issues.
- Market and promote the Pierz Golf Course and Campground.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and ensure safe working conditions for staff.
- Attend Park Board and City Council meetings when applicable, and assist with additional tasks during the offseason.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business management preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience; strong communication skills required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Point of Sale systems, and social media.
- Must obtain a food license within six months of hire.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varying weather conditions.
- May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling hazardous materials.
- Work environment includes office, campground, and golf course settings, with varying noise levels.
