Custodian/Cleaner (Part-Time)
About the Job
This is a part-time custodial position working for the City of Pinole's Community Services Department, Recreation Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing standard custodial duties in city buildings and facilities, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and polish floors
- Dust and polish furniture and woodwork
- Empty, clean, and line waste receptacles
- Wash doors, windows, walls, ceilings, and window blinds
- Clean and disinfect restrooms
- Maintain exterior building areas, including landscaping
Requirements:
- Equivalent to graduation from high school and six months of experience in janitorial or custodial work
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power equipment related to the work
- Understanding and following written and oral instructions
Working Conditions:
Must be willing to work extended shifts, weekend shifts, or be called back in emergency circumstances.
