Description
The Plymouth Community Center Event Specialist is responsible for monitoring facility rentals, special events and assist with the day of coordination of the event wing spaces including: the ballroom, meeting rooms, the Black Box, green room, and garden.
Typical Shifts Include
- Thursday, 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- Saturday, 7:00 pm - 1:00 am
- Oversee the Plymouth Community Center Event Wing in the absence of a full-time staff.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact person for events which include wedding ceremonies and receptions, parties, and corporate meetings, etc.
- Maintain and communicate rental policies and procedures to our internal and external customers as needed.
- Assist catering with questions during events.
- Oversee the daily event schedule to ensure proper room setups and customer needs are met in a timely fashion.
- Monitor the building and grounds to maintain a clean and safe environment for all users.
- Assist full-time staff in specific tasks including but not limited to rentals, events, programs, projects, or customer service.
- Assist as needed with room setups, AV equipment, cleaning, special events, empty garbage's, or other areas necessary for PCC operations.
- Respond to accidents and emergencies in a controlled manner.
- PCC has a police officer on-site for all events serving alcohol, the event specialist will work alongside the police officer throughout the night.
- Be present and assist rehearsal volunteers on scheduled rehearsals in the Garden.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year customer service experience.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to move and set up tables, chairs, and sounds system equipment - Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to relate and work effectively with people of diverse cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds
Salary : $19 - $22
