This is a Temporary assignment position (up to two years) in which you will take on a hands-on technical role, performing enterprise application administration across systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Capital Management (HCM), Learning Management System (LMS), and a Community Engagement App. In this role you will also be involved in security role maintenance, business process configuration, tenant configuration, reporting, and managing feature releases. This position reports to the Innovation and Technology Director, who manages the City of Pomona’s implementation of IT related efforts and initiatives. This temporary position is also eligible for benefits.

Education
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major work in computer science, computer information systems, data processing, or a closely related field. Experience
Four (4) years of experience in business or systems analysis, requirements gathering, operational or system documentation development and/or process reengineering.

- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California driver’s license.
- Valid certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis as a Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or a Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) is preferred
Ability to work in a standard office environment; ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Act as a liaison between IT and various business stakeholders of information systems by serving as the point of contact: providing and receiving information; conveying the needs, requirements, and technical knowledge of the parties involved to facilitate and interpret communication between various stakeholders.
- Meet with department representatives to identify user, functional, and technical requirements for information systems by conducting interviews, performing workflow analysis, performing data analysis, identifying patterns in system and user errors, identifying user roles and access privileges, testing the functionality of modules, components, and entire information systems.
- Evaluate users’ requests for new or modified system functions to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities, and perform or oversee any enhancements or modifications.
- Coordinate projects by collaborating with stakeholders of information systems (e.g., users, departmental leaders, vendors, developers), monitors progress, and provides management with status updates on implementation, integration, transition, and enhancements of information systems.
- Facilitate research of available solutions and assist with the planning and procurement of technology-related programs and services, including the preparation, and evaluation of Requests for Proposals and contracts associated with system acquisitions.
- Serve as project manager for new systems and modifications to existing systems.
- Serve as primary contact between internal customers and business system vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance by reviewing Statement of Works (SOWs), tracking project timelines, and reporting status to management.
- Provide technical training to various users by teaching functions, procedures, and processes of the system to provide individuals with the necessary information to operate, maintain, and/or support information systems.
- Regular attendance is an essential job function of this classification.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
