THE CITY OF PORT HURON IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
DOCK ATTENDANT / LEAD DOCK ATTENDANT
(May – October)
Represent the marina in a professional and courteous manner, serving as the face of the marina to many boaters, customers, visitors and the general public. Provide a high level of customer service at all times while taking pride in presenting a clean and welcoming marina.
- Assist boaters while mooring/departing the marina.
- Assist boaters with other various requests.
- Oversee fuel dock operations. Fuel and pump out boats, process sales transactions.
- Keep docks and grounds neat, clean and manicured.
- Routinely monitors property for safety and cleanliness.
- Janitorial duties, as needed, including cleaning and restocking restrooms.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Working Hours: 24 to 40 hours per week; between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand or walk for significant periods of time.
- Ability to sit, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl and kneel.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions (e.g. heat, rain, cold, etc.).
Salary Range: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour plus, tip potential
