The City of Portage is seeking responsible customer service-driven candidates for a part-time Rental Building Coordinator position for the Portage Zhang Senior Center. This position will support rentals, programs, activities, and other special events. The Rental Building Coordinators assist with set-up questions from the renter and potentially answer questions from guests who want to learn more about the center. The position will facilitate the check-in / out of each rental to ensure it meets the event's needs and that the area / equipment is left clean and without damage. Building coordinators will remain onsite and accessible to participants, enforcing the rental rules, and assisting with set-up or tear-down as needed. This role will assist with tracking attendees at events, collecting rental or program fees, and cleaning up spills or accidents as needed. Additionally, this position will be taught MySeniorCenter, a database used for program scheduling and registration.
This position will offer a minimum of 5 hours / week but typically 10-15 hours. Hours are based on building rentals and will fluctuate, being primarily weekends with occasional weekday evenings. Work schedules would be provided at least 2 weeks in advance. $15.99 per hour. No Benefits.
A high school diploma or GED is required. Experience with customer service or reception desk work is helpful. Selected candidates must meet post-offer conditions of passing a background check and drug / alcohol screen.
