Full-Time (37.5 hours / week), Project position - The City of Portland’s Health & Human Services Department is hiring a Community Health Promotion Specialist to provide outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness in Portland.
This exciting position will help community members access housing and community services and will provide connections to health and other social supports. Successful candidates will have experience working with unhoused and underserved populations in the Greater Portland area. We are looking for individuals with a passion to support vulnerable populations such as the unhoused and those experiencing mental health and / or substance use disorders.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Provide outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Assist community members in accessing housing and community services.
- Connect individuals to health and social supports.

The schedule for these positions will be Monday-Friday 9 : 00-5 : 30.

Salary & Benefits :
This is a union position, Pro-Tech(Grade 6) - Starting at $26.27hr.
