What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temp Wastewater Sump Pump Reviewer position at City of Pueblo?

- Phone calls to determine if the residence has a sump pump that may need inspected
- Visual inspection of sump pump and discharge location in homes with a basement or verify the lack of a sump pump
- Document work performed with accurate notes and pictures of the sump pump and discharge location
- Read maps provided to accurately identify locations
Physical Requirements:
- May require walking for prolonged periods of time from one inspection point to the next
- Uses manual dexterity and physical agility to inspect sump pump and sump pump discharge
- Uses visual acuity to read instructions, safely operate a vehicle and equipment, identify hazards, and perform daily functions
- Hearing/listening required to communicate with employees and customers
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and rules
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job
- Must be able to work successfully with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform all the job duties in a safe and timely manner
- Must have good communication skills
- Must operate a City vehicle safely
- Ability to perform all job duties in a safe manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
In addition to the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above, this position requires the following:
- A High School diploma or GED
- A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
- License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification
- During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The ideal candidate for this position will work 20 to 40 hours per week for 4-6 months. The hours will typically be 1 pm to dark, Monday-Friday and 8 hours on Saturday.
The selected candidate(s) will be required to submit and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check to include an MVR check.
