Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vertical Turbine Pump Builder to join our team. This position involves assembling, maintaining, and repairing vertical turbine pumps to meet performance standers. Ideal candidates will have mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and experience with pump systems.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assemble new vertical turbine pumps to specifications
-Disassemble, inspect, and repair used pump components
-Install new shafts, bearings impellers, and column pipe as needed
-Measure tolerances and performs precision fits
-Work from blueprints, techical manuals, and manufacturer instructions
-Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
-Maintain a clean and organized work area
-Document work performed, and parts used
Quailifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
-Experience with pump assembly and repair, preferably vertical turbine pumps
-Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand power tools.
-Understanding of pump operation, hydraulics, and alignment
-Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
-Physically able to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods
-Strong attention to detail and safety practices
-Ability to work independently and a part of a team
