General Description
Serves as cashier employee during operational hours and handles admission fees at Reaney Park Pool over the summer period. Greets public in a courteous, inviting manner. Is a knowledgeable resource for inquiries related to aquatics programs and events.
Hiring Criteria
Proven ability to work well with general public.
Ability to do basic math functions.
Computer Literacy – ability to learn Rec1
Complete proper cash handling.
Able to work in high stress environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year of prior experience in cash handling or customer service
Certified in ARC CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers (or willing to obtain within 1 month of hire)
Nature of Work
The job requires that the employee is available to work at least 3 week days, and one weekend day between 12:45 PM and 7:15 PM. This may occasionally include early mornings, special programs, and holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism when interacting with patrons and fellow City of Pullman staff members.
- Positively represent Pullman Parks and Recreation as an employee.
- Thorough knowledge of pool operations and programs. Promote all facility programs.
- Has knowledge of current safety rules and regulations and possesses willingness to enforce them.
- Able to exercise good judgment, both with public relations and emergency situations.
- Report accidents and incidents on approved forms when necessary.
- Perform basic custodial duties for facilities when tasked with them.
- Attend all in-service trainings assigned by APC or AAPC.
- Use computer to register and admit persons to facility, sell products, and enroll patrons in programs.
- Provides detailed, polite answers to questions regarding aquatic and P&R programs.
- Directly responsible for establishing and maintaining good public relations with the community.

Aquatic Program Coordinator, Assistant Aquatic Coordinator, or Head Guard

Pay Rate: $16.75/hour

Hours of Employment:
Flexible scheduling, ideally with a minimum of 20 hours / week of availability during operational hours. (Can combine hours with other job descriptions). May need to work 4 days / week and / or split shifts. Scheduling is based on the staff seniority system. No minimum hours are guaranteed.
