We manage the park's website, social media channels, email newsletter and public relations - growing our online audience to over 126,000 and garnering more than 350 media hits. Opening our first major attraction, Gipson Play Plaza, in spring 2025, Dix Park is poised to be a signature destination in the heart of North Carolina's capital city for residents and visitors alike.Last year alone, Dix Park produced a dozen community events, 120 programs, opened a visitor center, added large-scale public art, and welcomed 618,000 visitors. Duties and Responsibilities Develop written and visual content for social media across multiple platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter / X and YouTube.Respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.Create and use photos / videos effectively on social media platforms.Produce content in an accessible and inclusive manner for diverse audiences.Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across.Track and report on audience and engagement metrics.Stay current with emerging trends and social media best practices and bring innovative ideas to the marketing and communication team. Typical Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Licensing / CertificationsValid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field. Additional Information Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Demonstrated experience writing for social media (Facebook, Twitter / X, Instagram, etc.) and / or other digital platforms.Experience using social media management tools like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc. preferred.
